Basic Pool Rules

  • Lifeguards & pool staff are responsible for ensuring the safety of all participants. Refusal to adhere to pool rules or arguing with the lifeguard or pool staff will result in immediate removal from the pool and facility 
  • Water, drugs & alcohol do not mix – no person under the influence may use the pool. We reserve the right to refuse services to anyone who is hostile, aggressive, or under the influence 
  •  All non-swimmers and children 11 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older at all times 
  • Water wings, floaties & inflatables are prohibited. Coastguard approved lifejackets are available at the cashier booth     
  • Dive rings, masks, fins, snorkels, and goggles are allowed when appropriate. The lifeguard may deem equipment unsafe, and participant will not be able to use them at the pool 
  • No running or rough play – walk on deck and in locker rooms 
  • NO DIVING – except in designated diving areas 
  • Keep all stairs and ladders clear unless using them to enter or exit the water 
  • No animals in the pool area 
  • No food allowed on pool deck. Food and drink allowed in designated areas only 
  • No glass or plastics that can shatter allowed at this facility 
  • Take a cleansing shower before entering the pool 
  • Swimmers who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper 
  • Immuno-comprised individuals should use caution when using a public pool 
  • Do not use the pool if you have had diarrhea in the past two weeks or a disease communicable by water 

Food & Drinks

  • No food allowed on pool deck. Food and drink allowed in designated areas only 
  • No glass or plastics that can shatter allowed at this facility 

Supervision Requirements

  •  All non-swimmers and children 11 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older at all times 

Flotation Devices & Water Toys

  • Water wings, floaties & inflatables are prohibited. 
    Coastguard approved lifejackets are available at the cashier booth
  • Dive rings, masks, fins, snorkels, and goggles are allowed when appropriate. 
    The lifeguard may deem equipment unsafe, and participant will not be able to use them at the pool 
  • Deep Water Swim Requirements - Children must be able to comfortably swim one width of the pool (half on front, rolling over and half on back) to swim in the deep end or use the diving boards or rope swing. Lifeguards may require that you demonstrate your swim skills before using the deep end features. 

Locker Room Use 

  • Children 6 years and older must use the same gender locker room.
  • Family changing bathrooms are available for parents with young children. Adult supervision is required at all times (located left of the bleachers in the lower bathrooms). 
  • Please help us conserve water and keep showers brief. 
  • No food, drink, gum, or glass is allowed in the locker rooms.
  • No cell phones or photo devices in the locker room.
  • No running, roughhousing, loud or offensive behavior, language or gestures.  
  • Restrooms/Locker Rooms are available for customers only. No public restrooms available.


Whistle Communication

  • One long whistle blast means clear the pool 
  • Two or three whistle blasts means an emergency is happening 
  • One short whistle blast means a lifeguard is trying to get your attention
