Biography
Chief Dentinger has 30 years of law enforcement experience, starting as a Reserve Police Officer with the City of Klamath Falls. Chief Dentinger was hired by the Klamath Falls Police Department in July of 1996. Since that appointment Chief Dentinger has served as a:

- Lieutenant
- Detective Sergeant
- Patrol Sergeant
- Detective
- Motor Officer
- SWAT Operator
- Patrol Officer
As the Chief of Police for the City of Klamath Falls, Chief Dentinger is responsible for planning, directing and leading the Klamath Falls Police Department consistent with community policing objectives. The Chief establishes performance standards, develops processes that involve employees in decision-making and provides career development opportunities for staff.
Chief Dentinger manages and administers the department's annual budget to ensure quality, community-oriented and cost-effective services within the approved budget. The Chief conducts strategic and operational planning to ensure that services, programs, facilities and policing strategies meet the City's changing needs and are financially viable.
Chief Dentinger holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Northwest Christian University, holds a Executive Certification from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, and is a graduate of the 264th session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
