Biography


Captain Rob Reynolds has 25 years of law enforcement experience, beginning his career with the Klamath County Sheriff's Office in 1996. Captain Reynolds moved to the Klamath Falls Police Department (KFPD) in 1998. Since being hired with KFPD, he has served as a:
 

  • Patrol Watch Commander
  • SWAT Team Leader
  • SWAT Assistant Team Leader
  • SWAT Operator
  • Patrol Sergeant
  • Patrol Corporal
  • Major Crimes Detective
  • Narcotics Detective for the Klamath Interagency Narcotics Team (KINT)
  • Patrol Investigator
  • Patrol Officer


Captain Reynolds also served his country in the United States Army in the Infantry and is a combat veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm.

Roles

Captain Reynolds oversees the Investigative and Support Division (ISD). This includes the Criminal Detective Division, BINET, School Resource Officers, Code Enforcement, Evidence, Records Division, Livability Team, SROs, and Volunteer programs. 

Education & Certifications

Captain Reynolds earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Purdue University Global in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Law Enforcement, and he holds an Executive Certificate from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST). He is a graduate of the Oregon Executive Development Institute (OEDI) and the International Public Safety Leadership and Ethics Institute (IPSLEI) Leadership Development Course, as well as the 283rd session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.  He also attended The Southern Police Institute’s Chief Executive Leadership Course, the Sergeant's Academy, the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) SWAT Commander School, and numerous other training events about patrol tactics, investigations, SWAT, and leadership.

Captain Reynolds is a member of the Oregon Association Chiefs of Police (OACP), FBI National Academy Association (FBINAA), and the International Association of Chief's of Police (IACP).
