Planning Commission meetings convene on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Administration Building located at 500 Klamath Avenue.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
The Planning Commission is an advisory body to the City Council, which is responsible for directing the short and long-range growth and development of the City through maintenance and implementation of the City's Community Development Ordinance, City Code and associated specific plans. It is composed of six Commissioners who are residents of the City, serve without compensation and are appointed by the Mayor. Each Commissioner is appointed to a four-year term with no maximum term limit.
Downtown Advisory Committee
Formerly, this Committee was two separate groups; the Downtown Urban Renewal Advisory Committee and Parking District Committee. Ordinance No. 11-09 combined the two committees into the one; Downtown Advisory Committee. The Committee's members are from groups and organizations representing the diversity of interests in the Downtown commercial core.
Their goal is to revitalize the Downtown commercial core and the Committee ensures that the projects and programs recommended in the Klamath Falls Downtown Plan are completed in a timely and coordinated manner. Completion of the projects and programs contained in the Plan is expected to improve the Downtown's viability as a regional center and destination for shopping, living, government services, and cultural and historical activities.
