1. When is the pool open?

The pool is open year-round except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and scheduled maintenance closures. View the pool schedule.

2. What is Masters Swim?

Master Swim is a swim workout based group of individuals who prefer swimming in a group instead of individually. We incorporate all of the four swim strokes. Our coach works on improving your efficiency in the water and builds swimming endurance.

3. What would cause an unexpected closure of the pool?

• Oregon Health Code law requires all pools to close if the water temperature drops below 76 degrees.
• Whenever an unexpected maintenance issue may arise, we may be forced to close.
• In any case of closure, we will notify our patrons on:
  • City website
  • Phone message machine
  • Pool website
  • Our Facebook page

4. What is the temperature of the pool through the year?

Pool staff and City personnel work hard to maintain a pool temperature between 83 and 85 degrees. Our pool serves many demographics and temperatures need to remain ideal for all users.

5. Do you use chlorine or salt to sanitize the pool water?

Our pool is a chlorine pool. By thoroughly rinsing your hair and body off with water, it is less likely for the chlorine to effect irritation to your skin or hair.

6. Where do I enter the pool and who can I talk to?

During hours of operation, the front office will be open for entrance and a cashier will be available to assist you. 

7. When do swim lessons start?

Private and semi-private lessons are available at your request all year round. Group lessons usually start the week after all schools get out.

8. How much does it cost to swim?

9. How do I receive updates about the pool and water temperatures?

By liking our Facebook page, you will have access to any and all important updates about the pool.

10. How tall do you have to be to ride the slide?

You must be 48 inches tall to ride the slide. Read a complete list of our rules.

11. Does it cost to use a locker?

Lockers can be rented for $5 a month upon request. Lockers are free to use on a day-to-day basis.
