Captain Ryan Brosterhous
Captain Ryan Brosterhous has over (23) years of law enforcement experience, starting as a patrol officer with the Klamath Falls Police Department in 1996. He takes great pride in serving the City he has always called home. Since being hired, Captain Brosterhous has served as a:
- Patrol Sergeant
- Narcotics Detective
- Patrol Officer
As a Captain for the Klamath Falls Police Department, Captain Brosterhous currently oversees the Patrol and Operations Division (POD) of the department, which currently consists of Patrol, Community Service, Parking, and specialized units consisting of SWAT, Reserve Officers, Explorers, and Department Chaplains.
Captain Brosterhous is responsible for planning, directing, reviewing, and administering activities and operations within his division consistent with community policing goals and objectives. Captain Brosterhous is responsible for complex administrative support to the Chief of Police and may serve as the Acting Chief of Police, as assigned during the Chief’s Absence.
Captain Brosterhous has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern Oregon State College, holds an Executive Certificate from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, and is a graduate of the 273rd Session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Captain Brosterhous is a member of the Oregon Association Chiefs of Police, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and the FBI National Academy Associates, Oregon Chapter.
